Our Story

Since SeaScape Homes’ start, they have built over $100 million worth of new construction townhomes and custom residential homes, incorporated the next generation of the family with Dru’s introduction into the business, successfully reconstructed a six-unit Seattle townhome project after a fire, and developed multiple waterfront plats on Lake Sammamish. They have owned and managed dozens of Puget Sound apartment complexes.

No ambitious project is completed without its challenges. Luckily, Jon thrives off challenges. His enthusiasm for design fuels SeaScape Homes’ robust catalog of remarkable properties. Each home built is custom, with its own unique plan and features. When you move into a SeaScape property, you step into an entirely distinctive home, ready for you to build a lifetime of memories and enjoy for generations to come.

Since 1997, when Doug Tellefson and his son Jon Tellefson built seven luxury homes on Lake Sammamish in Bellevue, Washington, this family-owned and operated business has provided their clients with an exemplary standard of construction and design. The SeaScape Homes’ legacy dates back to the 1960s when Doug began his career as an engineer, building high-profile bridges, dams, and tunnels. Eventually, Doug transitioned to residential projects, building a thousand-unit building in Alaska before moving to the Seattle area in the 1980s where he put down the roots of his family and business.

Doug and Jon worked together in a harmony of hard work and ingenuity for years. When Doug passed, Jon was inspired to continue to carry on his father’s incredible legacy. Jon’s unique approach is achieved through the inspiration, vision, and excitement that is infused in all of SeaScape Homes’ projects. From the initial spark of inspiration that accompanies visiting an empty plot of land and imagining its spectacular potential to the day that the happy homeowners move in, Jon’s pride in craftsmanship and quality motivates his commitment to excellence. Through years of experience, he's mastered the art of sourcing the perfect location and anticipating the best positioning for views, sun exposure, and amenities. He is always 10 steps ahead—planning and executing with intention.
